Welcome to &therapy!

If you're looking for a therapist who can challenge and push you, be relatable, use humour, and consistently be your biggest cheerleader, then I may be the therapist for you! Whether you've have a lot of counselling experience before or looking for your first intro to therapy, I'm ready to help you build on what has worked in the past and create new perspectives that support your goals moving forward.

How I Can Help

My therapy style is a balance between upbeat and straightforward, with calmness and compassion. I believe therapy works best when you can be authentically you in a judgement-free zone, and I'll continuously aim to minimize any power differences within our relationship. I'm the therapist who wants to know your favourite music, your coffee order, what video or sports games you're interested in, your ideal day off and dream car, because I truly care about who you are and what you're going through. I see clients who can benefit from concrete coping skills, pushing for change to meet goals, while also increasing acceptance of the events and experiences that are painful. Some people I work with may be experiencing a lack of motivation, uncomfortable or highs and lows of emotions, challenging thoughts, and/or impulsive or dangerous behaviours. Clients often come to me when depression and/or anxiety get in the way of living a life they want. Exploring identity, increasing self-esteem, improving relationships, and understanding difficult emotions are common topics we may have in therapy.

My Education & Training

My DBT skill set has been developed and shared within multiple adolescent and adult focused settings such as community agencies, in-patient programs, secure treatment, and within the private sector. I feel honoured to provide services to my clients and be part of your journey! My goal is to work with you to find ways to improve your quality of life and help empower your decision making. If my style, approach and personality could be a good fit with what you're looking for, then please email or call. I'm super pumped to meet you!
